Manejo del duelo por el profesional de enfermería en las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales

Resumen
El manejo del duelo por parte del profesional de enfermería en las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales (UCIN) es un desafío por las intensas reacciones emocionales y psicológicas de padres y personal sanitario ante la pérdida neonatal. Objetivo: Analizar el manejo del duelo por enfermería en UCIN mediante revisión sistemática de la evidencia científica. Método: Revisión sistemática según PRISMA 2020, con 24 estudios seleccionados de 857 registros en PubMed, Scopus y ScienceDirect. Resultados: Se identificaron intervenciones para cada etapa del duelo. Estrategias efectivas incluyeron creación de recuerdos tangibles, contacto físico post mortem, presencia compasiva y derivación a servicios especializados. Se destacó la necesidad de programas de apoyo emocional para el personal, formación en cuidados paliativos perinatales y sesiones de debriefing. Conclusiones: El rol de enfermería es clave para un manejo integral y humanizado del duelo parental en UCIN, requiriendo protocolos estandarizados y respaldo institucional para garantizar un cuidado sostenible.
