Dignity of the human being and his right to a dignified death in the constitutional state
Abstract
The objective of this research was to analyze human dignity and the right to a dignified death in the constitutional state. The scope of the research was descriptive and correlational, as the former seeks to analyze a phenomenon, that is, in this case, to define the concepts and each part of the topic. The results reflected that the definition of assisted death made possible the argumentative structure that became decisive for the position of human dignity in the face of death. After investigating fundamental rights and their coalition between life and autonomy, in conclusion, there remains the enigma of the decriminalization of medical assistance for mercy killing through a regulatory norm on the rights of the terminally or catastrophically ill and its state control that guarantees the right to choose death.
