Creation of a technical team in the Public Defender's Office: policy for women victims of physical violence
Abstract
The overall objective of the research was to analyze the creation of a technical team in the Public Defender's Office: policy for women victims of physical violence. The approach taken by the researchers to develop the method was based on a quantitative approach, through investigation, collection, and critical analysis of documents consisting of articles, regulations, and laws, among others. The inductive-deductive method was also used. On the other hand, from a population of 170 cases of women assisted by the Public Defender's Office, considering a sample of 30, a questionnaire was administered. It was concluded that approximately 55.43% of cases of domestic violence are abandoned. Statistics showed that there is at least one case per day, and it is crucial to reduce this rate to break the paradigm of dependence and fear.
